The purpose of this position is to provide practical support to administrative processes, technical knowledge, and perform the work listed. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor’s competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence and acts as a representative of the department ensuring technical accuracy in project execution in all phases. This position supports the Architectural Area Lead or Lead on assigned projects and evaluates, selects, and applies standard architectural techniques to a small set of moderately difficult assignments.
As an Architect I at Fluor, you'll be part of a unique and creative group of forward-thinking architects and designers dedicated to efficient project execution. We are highly technical and invest heavily into data-centric design and BIM, enabling us to work effectively with project teams across the country and around the world. As a member of our team, you can expect to:
▪ Apply Cost Competitive Execution techniques and develop the most cost-effective total project solution for architectural work
▪ Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projects
▪ Develop estimates and schedules, progress reports, and manpower forecasts
▪ Establish, track, and monitor material key quantities; provide analysis and forecasts
▪ Develop and review specifications, including design criteria
▪ Review vendor equipment documentation within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
▪ Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
▪ Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
▪ Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
▪ Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements
• Accredited professional architectural degree based on country requirements and three (3) years of work-related experience; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
Expertise using Revit both as a design tool and in the production of architectural deliverables. Revit responsibilities per project typically include architectural material takeoffs, smart families established to interface with project databases, and tracking status of deliverables within the Revit model.
Preferred Qualifications
• Intermediate knowledge of discipline codes and standards, commercial availability and cost of materials, means and methods of construction
• Practical field experience
• Internship program in progress or completed
• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs
• Ability to use discipline specific software may be required
Salary Range
76,000 to 130,000
Market Rate
The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
